Abstract:

This presentation focuses on the use of sensor and scanning technologies for data collection at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). MassDOT uses thermal scanning, scanning cleaning systems, bus washing sensors, and LiDAR to improve efficiency and save on costs within its system. This presentation outlines the uses of those systems and explains both the pros and cons accompanying each one.
