Abstract:

This case study documents Pennsylvania DOT's experiences with asset management and life cycle costing analysis (LCCA). LCCA serves as a critical decision making tool for PennDOT's pavement design selections, and helps to find cost-effective projects and maintenance methods. This report is part of the FHWA Office of Asset Management's series of case studies on TAM, produced with the goal of sharing information between agencies to improve efficiency.
