Abstract:
This presentation focuses on data collection and management. It uses 2 case studies to examine different data collection methods and productivity. It begins with data collection on guardrails at MassDOT and the difficulties accompanied by it. The second case study discusses remote data collection at the Michigan Department of Transportation. The conclusions from both studies indicate that data is most supportive when it can be discussed face to face between departments.
